Welcome to The Morales Family Web-Site
October 25, 2005
Well we just aren't doing very well. We have all been really really sick! And I mean ALL OF US! The worst part is that I am unable to take too many useful meds because of the pregnancy and what I do take I worry about taking and how it will effect the baby later on.
We are all coughing, sniffling, sneezing, and just plain miserable all around. Joe is pushing through his work nights because we can't afford him missing work right now, and I am trying to push through the extra tiredness and work of having to take care of myself and 5 sick kids as well. So the house is in a bit of disarray.
The only upside I have had is that I have not really had any morning sickness and with coming up on 10 weeks this week I an very grateful!
My next topic is one that my dad brought up while we were visiting this past Sunday (they insisted we join them despite our sickly conditions, siting that "they don't get sick"). He decided to make a comment on our growing family size and his "question" is one of many featured in the ever popular (for large families) Plomp Family collection of Large Family FAQ and their comebacks. You can find all of the featured questions and comebacks at http://www.plomp.com/largefam/comebacks.htm.
So my father's question was the following and since I have visited this site many a times over the years I was quite ready for a comeback, as well as Joe was. So I will share the question and the many responses to which one could respond with. I'll leave it up to you to imagine which ones we used!
Don't you know what causes that?
-
No, please tell me!
-
Of course, don't you?
-
Yes, we do know what causes that and we like it very much, thank you.
-
Oh yes, we finally figured it out and we now keep the tooth brushes in
seperate glasses!
-
Oh yes, I now wash my husband's underwear seperately.
-
Oh yes, having a great sex life!
-
Water or sex but I don't want to give up either.
-
Smile brightly and say with enthusiasm "Yes and we like it!"
-
You bet I do......love, love, love ( & sex, sex, sex.....hehehe.......)
-
Yes! So don't get too close to me!
-
It's in the water. Would you like a glass?
-
Yes and I know WHO causes it! God gave us these children!
-
Yes I do........cold winter nights.........
-
LOVE! An overabundance of love!!
-
Yes,and as you only have two kids obviously you dont do it much.
-
Yes, and it is something I am very good at...
-
Of course, and the Lord has greatly blessed us!
-
A strong husband/wife relationship, big hearts, and the Lord's blessing.

Ok the cat is out of the bag! Yes we are indeed expecting again! Baby #6 or as well call it Baby "J" is due in May.
The girls are really excited since they have been asking for a baby sister since about June. Last week Rachel, who loves to ask questions, asked yet again if we were going to have a baby sister for her. I answered her yes or a baby brother. She immediately looked away thoughtfully and then looked back and said "Well Heavenly Father will have to think about that mom." So Rachel is dead set on having a baby sister.
I tend not to believe them anymore since they insisted that Liam was a girl as well and . . . well obviously they were wrong. ROFLOL!!
The names we have picked out are Jackson David if it is a boy and Jaylen May or Jaylen Ella if it's a girl. (Spellings may change)
I am doing fine so far with very little morning sickness. The few migrains that I get are what make me feel the worst. I've found drinking a Fresca when I start to feel horrible makes it go away. I don't know why but it has been working for me so I will continue to keep it on hand JIC.

Kaden is now 1 year old today!! I can't believe how fast he is growing up. Today we started our day off early with a family trip to the Cranbrook Science Museum. A local radio station was there to help promote the new Nano exhibit and we have been wanting to check it out too so we thought it would be a perfect day to.
Kaden enjoyed the blood cell exhibit which was basically a ball pit. All the kids loved playing in it except Mason actually. The kids also were able to go and visit the Bat Cave and see bats and a sloth as well as some owls. They all enjoyed that as well, except for the stinkiness of the "cave".
After Cranbrook we were meeting up with Grandpa and Jan for lunch. We went to Little Ceasar land with a homemade cake in hand. We all had a blast and Kaden had fun exploring the button wall that made noise everytime he pushed one. Of course Liam helped show him the ropse as well, LOL.
We all got home around 4pm and we were all so worn out we crashed for a nap, except Liam. He instead raided the last of the birthday cake.
It was a fun filled exhausting day. Happy Birthday big boy!

Kaden is now walking! You can see him walking through this link --->Kaden Walk<--- You will need a quicktime player to view this. Or you can go to this link Kaden Walks 2nd link We hope you enjoy it! He also says cheese at the end of it!
Liam is talking a lot more and is in that stage where he is always wanting to help. But he wants to help so much that he gets into fights trying to help. Yeah for mommy! (not!)
Our FTP is finally working again. Some firewall was preventing it from connecting. So it is finally fixed but I still need to take some more pictures and get them up.
Christmas is around the corner and the kids are making their lists. I will be adding their wish lists to the size page if anyone is interested. If you'd like to get them something for Christmas gift cards are nice and easy, but it's up to you of course!
We are so glad to be back up and running. Pam and Jared we hope you guys are doing well in Nebraska. We hope you'll send outyour new phone # and address soon. The kids miss you and their cousins.
