Recently, I was diagnosed with C.A. A. D. D. - Child Activated Attention Deficit Disorder.

This is how it manifests:

I decide to do the laundry. As I start toward the basement, I notice that there are cheerios all over the floor and my house keys are in the cereal bowl. I decide to pick up the cheerios before I do the laundry. I lay my keys down on the counter, put the cheerios in the trashcan under the counter, and notice that the trashcan is full. So, I decide to take out the trash.

But then I think, since I'm going to be near the mailbox when I take out the trash I may as well pay the bills first. I take my check book off the table, and see that there is only one check left, my extra checks are in my desk in the office, so I go to my desk where I find a sippy cup full of juice. I'm going to look for my checks, but first I decide I should put the sippy cup in the refrigerator to keep it cold.

As I head toward the kitchen with the sippy cup a plant on the counter catches my eye--it needs to be watered. I set the sippy cup on the counter, and I discover baby wipes that I've been searching for all morning. I decide I better put them back in the bathroom, but first I'm going to water the plants. I set the wipes back down, fill a container with water and suddenly I spot the TV remote, left on the kitchen table.

I realize that when I go to watch TV, I will be looking for the remote, but I won't remember that it's on the kitchen table, so I decide to put it back in the den where it belongs, but first I'll water the plants. I splash some water on the plant, but most of it spills on the floor. So, I set the remote back down, get some paper towels and wipe up the spill.

Then I head down the hall trying to remember what I was planning to do.

At the end of the day: the laundry isn't washed, the bills aren't paid, there is a warm cup of juice sitting on the counter, the plants aren't watered, there is still only one check in my check book, I can't find the remote, I can't find the wipes, and I don't remember what I did with my keys. Then when I try to figure out why nothing got done today. I'm really baffled because I know I was busy all day long, and I'm really tired.

I realize this is a serious problem, and I'll try to get some help for it, but first I'll check my e-mail. Do me a favor, will you? Forward this message, because I don't remember to whom it has been sent.

Don't laugh--if this isn't you yet, your day is coming.

Happy Birthday

http://themoralesfamily.us/videoclips/funnyHappyBirthday.mp3

My life IS so sad it's funny! Laugh I can't believe I am 31 now. UGH!

Funny Happy Birthday Song lyrics

Once a year we celebrate with stupid hats and plastic plates,
the fact that you were able to make another trip around the sun.
And the whole plan gathers round' gifts and laughter do will bound,
we let out a joyful sound and sing that stupid song.

Happy Birthday, now your one year older.
Happy Birthday, your life still isn't over.
Happy Birthday, you did not accomplish much.
But you didn't die this year i guess that's good enough.

So lets drink to your fading health, and hope you don't remind yourself
your chance of finding fame and wealth decrease with every year.
Dose it feel like your doing laps, and eating food and taking naps,
and hoping that some day, perhaps, your life will hold some cheer.

Happy Birthday, what have you done that matters?
Happy Birthday, your starting to get fatter.
Happy Birthday, it's downhill from now on.
Try not to remind yourself your best years are all gone.

If cryogenics were all free then you could live like Walt Disney and live
for all eternity inside a block of ice.
But instead your time is set this is the only life you get,
and though it hasen't ended yet some times you wish it MIGHT!

Happy Birthday, you wish you had more money.
Happy Birthday, your lifes so sad it's funny.
Happy Birthday, how much more can you take?
But your friends are hungry so just cut the stupid cake.

Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Happy Birthday, Dear.....
(muttering)
Ralph, Bill, Graphton, Stanley, Frank, Skippy the Butch Kangroo, Bob,
Starts with a G.. G.. Blah! Blah! Blah!

Sariah and Rachel had their oral surgeries today. Rachel was super brave and went first. They made it as painfree as possible for them with lidocain on their arms before the IV's and tons of pain meds after. When Rachel came out of surgery as soon as she was conscious enough she was trying to talk even with a mouth full of gauze. It didn't matter how many times I told her not to talk and to just relax she kept on trying to talk!

Sariah had the most problems coming out of recovery. They took more molars out and 2 were abscessed and I was told she'd be in more pain. When she was coming out of it the Dr. asked her if she was in pain and she said she was so he pulled out some more novacane and injected her right in recovery. She wasn't supposed to feel it but she did. OUCH! I can only imagine what that would be like since I've never had novacane or oral surgery or even a cavity fixed (didn't need it).

So that started her on crying but soon her IV site started to hurt her. I noticed her hand at the IV site was overly swollen, like the IV had blown or something. The nurse gave her an ice pack and told me to apply pressure to it which made it hurt more for Sariah. Poor baby.

I seriously thought Rachel would have been the more sensitive one. SO after they were both well enough to go home I stopped at the grocery store to pick up some extra soft foods for them. Of course when I get to the check out line I realize I couldn't find my bank card. Apparently Dh had taken it out of my purse so I was annoyed in having to put things back and paying out of pocket.

When we got home Sariah finally looked in the mirror and then burst into tears over how her face looked. :rolleyes We tried comforting her and explained things will go back to normal later. Still it didn't help much.

But now they are resting comfortablely. A little swollen and probably a little distrusting of dentists now too, LOL. It was one stressful morning but it's over and done with. I think it's one of those life moments that really make you feel like a parent too.
