On Friday Joe left for New York to visit family and friends. He had a great time catching up with everyone and spending some alone time away from the family.
Joe was supposed to return on the 25th but when he arrived at the airport at the time he was supposed via printed on the itinerary and ticket, he was informed that it had been changed and the flight had already left!
The continued to inform him that the change took place in March and that he should have been notified of the change. Confused he argued that it should have been changed when the ticket was BOUGHT in APRIL!
Needless to say he was at their mercy and stuck in New York until the next day when the next flight left. This caused problems n monday as we were supposed to head to the family reunion at Pam's, and Joe's plane came in at the time we were supposed to arrive at Pam's.
Needless to say we arrived 2 hours late and a lot of people had left by then so we missed visiting with a lot of family that we miss a lot.
At Pam's though we were still able to visit with my brother Andrew, whom I hadn't seen in a good 5 or 6 years, and my sister Wendy and her daughters, whom I hadn't seen in about the same amount of time! My Sister Kaitlyn was there and my dad, and my Grandmother too.

Today Joe turned 33!
We celebrated with some friends at the Homeschooling Picnic, where we grilled and ate and socialized. The kids had a blast and it was fun to share the day with friends.
Happy Birthday Joe!

Today Jaylen turns 2 years old!

Yesterday, out of the blue, Jay asked to go potty 3 times. So we took her diaper off and put her on the toilet and sure enough she peed each time! So we decided to try panties on her and, sure enough, she peed in them, took them off and then pooped on the floor. LOL So I guess she isn't QUITE ready. She's getting there, though.
Jaylen is talking a lot more now, but still has a Binky addiction. Jay loves to dance and has learned to shake her booty, which is just adorable to watch a 2yr old do. Jay is a little princess for the boys. They LOVE to spoil her. Liam is a little daddy and he watches out for Jay the most but loves to dote on Kaden too, but since he is littler we have to restrict him a tad more. Kaden loves his baby sister and brother just as much as Liam, but is not as active as Liam is when it comes to playing with them.
Jaylen has also been moved into her new big girl bed upstairs with her brothers and sisters. While they each have their own bed, Jaylen is still getting used to sleeping upstairs and actually prefers sleeping with Rachel more. Jay will start off in her bed, but if she wakes up in the middle of the night then she ends up crawling into bed with Rae.
Jay's other big transition has been giving up her bottle! She lost it and I stopped looking for it and she hasn't aske for it since. However, she has discovered how to use the bathroom sink better so she has learned to get a cup and get herself drinks of water a lot more now.
Jaylen is also very proficient at naming all of her body parts. She loves reading books with pictures, and she is learning to count as well.
Jaylen is just a blessing to be in our family. Her curly hair, big bright smile, and sparkling eyes will perk anyone up! She is adventerous and seemingly fearless at times as she makes friends with the young and old alike without hesitations.
Happy Birthday Jaylen! We love you!

Mason woke up to $10 under his pillow to get an Iron Man toy. He changed his mind though and decided to get Gummi Bears instead. I guess he's hoping it'll help his other teeth fall out just that much faster, LOL
Today we went to the free comic book day at the comic book store. The kids were able to pick out some favorite comic books for free. The boys chose Transformers and X-men, the girls chose Simpsons and Transformers too.
Later on we went to our church's Cinco De Mayo celebration and had a Mexican dinner of Tacos, Nachos, and burritos too. The kids then went outside to play until it started raining. After that they came inside and danced the night away.
You can see the pictures of the evening HERE.
Here is ONE of the video's from the kids dancing!

Yep Mason has officially lost his first tooth! He was so anxious to lose it he kept asking for it to be pulled out. So we used our tried and true method of tying the tooth to something with just enough weight, this time it was a hair brush, and then dropping it. Mason was so brave he dropped the brush by himself without any problems. Once it was all set up he just let it go and out it popped.

Tomorrow you'll get to see what the tooth fairy left for him!
Other News!
