Yesterday was our ultrasound where it was revealed that we are expecting a baby girl!

Baby's page is up and running, but I will be working on changing all of the links. Visit Baby's Page.
**UPDATE** Name is still undecided for now. I know we sent out an e-mail announcing her name, but we don't feel settled on it just yet and will probably settle soon on her name. We'll let you know when that happens. Thank you! **
How We Told the Kids
So the original plan was, we were all going to the ultrasound together as a family, and then we'd go out to eat in celebration of finding out who our new addition was. However, over the weekend the children caught the cold I got earlier in the week. While I had gotten better, everyone else had gotten sick. So we decided to keep the kids at home while Joe and I went instead.
Joe video recorded the ultrasound so we could show the kids when we got home. We had also planned on going to Wally World to pick up a cake to celebrate at home.
While we were picking out cakes I decided to try and trick them a bit. So we got a blue cake and had them write in blue "It's a Girl". This way they'd think it's a boy at first. It worked wonderfully and they did indeed think it was a boy at first before they read the cake.
We took video of the event too and you can hear the disappointment in Rachel and Liam shouts out "A boy!" before they realize we had a little fun with them. The girl excitement finally took over and we enjoyed the cake as a family.
February 2010
This month I had my first OB appointment. I was about 16 weeks along and everything was great!
Blood pressure was 114/66; weight about 200; baby's heart rate was in the 160's! I got blood work done and I find out the results on those in March.
Around Valentine's Day we went to the Home Schooling Valentine Party and had a bunch of fun. Hanging out with friends, decorating cookies, and playing in the new snow we got just a few days before.
