I know I am behind on updates, but we've been super busy this month.
On June 2nd Joe was finally offered a job after 1year 4months and 3 days of unemployment. It's an entry level management position and pays nearly half of what he used to make at the steel plant, but as we keep saying "But it's a job!". We were actually making more on unemployment benefits too, but because we want of the system, and new information is coming out that some employers toss aside applications if the person is unemployed, we're hoping that this will at least help him get his foot in the door other places.
Of course, karma never likes to leave us alone. When it rains it pours here, LOL. We've been dumped with a bunch of mixed blessings, so to speak. The same day Joe got his job offer was the SAME day we finally got our eviction we've been hoping and waiting for, for nearly 8 months now! We got a move out date of June 25th, which is less than a week away now.
We've found a house with about 4½ bedrooms. I say "half" because there is one "bonus" room that could easily be a bedroom but techinically isn't because it doesn't have a closet, but it's kind of tiny any ways so it'll be used as the office. It has 2 baths too. The lay out will allow at least Sariah to have her own bedroom, and with the way the kids set themselves up any ways, Rachel could have her own room for a while too. We'll see how things work out.
We needed the eviction so we could get on a Rapid Re-housing program that would help us out with the rent and deposit. Since we have been getting the run around with them we've been kind of moving forward without them since the whole "rapid" part seems to be slower than turtles racing. The Landlord is thankfully very easy going and working very well with us and the program, so I think we've found a very nice win win situation. The only problem is time contraints with moving AND birthing!!
We are nearing the end of this pregnancy, and it has mommy on edge a bit. I can't focus on giving birth until I feel safe and settled which might not be for another week or two at this point, and I'll be 37 weeks in less than 2 weeks. I'm only hoping that Adelyn doesn't decide to come ealy, and at this point, thankfully, it doesn't look like that will be the case.
I've been 3cm dilated and about 40% effaced for a few weeks now, and Ady doesn't like staying engaged either, so I think my worry and stress are keeping her in there safe and sound where she needs to be, until we are ready for her and set up for her arrival.
So far that's all we have to update on right now. Be sure to add your predictions to our "Baby Pool" we'd love to see when you think Adelyn will arrive and how big she'll be!
