We got through it! I finalized clothing colors and accessories. Made the purchases that need to be made. Cut Sariah's hair, and dyed mine. Got hair helpers for Jaylen and Rachel's hair too, as Rae has frizzy hair and jay can have cute curls if it's moussed right. I even bought make-up! I haven't had new make-up since Mason was born!! LOL I still have the old stuff . . .some where, but I know I got it!
I went there with the goal of getting a family portrait ONLY! They of course insisted upon girl group shots, boy group shots, kid group shots and mom & dad shots. Oy vey! Wasted time in my humble opinion, but I wasn't strong enough to "just say 'NO'" unfortunately. I couldn't get the proofs, because it's all digital. The kids pictures truned out AWESOME, but it's not what I went there for, so I am saddened. But I was NOT about to drop $300 on their "package" that would allow me to have a CD of all the pics and prints of who knows what. I JUST NEEDED A FAMILY PORTRAIT!
We went with the intention of just getting ONE shot as well for the package deal of $9.95, but I seriously couldn't decide between these two. We did get the $9.95 deal on the one and then another deal for the other pic, for a total cost of about $35. It wasn't bad considering we ended up with about 70 pictures in all. About the cost of printer ink for me (which I still need BTW).
So some family will be getting some pics in the mail soon. Nothing big. Grandparents got the good stuff when I did the kids shoot with my own camera several weeks back, but I know they still wanted a family shot and now they got it.
Enjoy!
